Words from women who worked on Waiting For Time
Isabelle Karpinski and Mariya Evtimova, both key and essential members in the Waiting For Time team discuss: what drew them to the project, how they felt working on a COVID- friendly set, how it was working with Worthily Films and what they love about the Film and TV industries.
I found it easy to adapt to a completely new way of working because of the cooperation of the entire cast and crew. Everyone was absolutely understanding of the need to feel comfortable, as it’s such an uncertain time for us all. Common sense was used so it was great that we were such a competent and friendly bunch of people! Before meeting the Worthily Team, I knew that I would be dealing with professionals. I wasn’t sure if this meant that film shoot would be an entirely serious and solemn affair but was excited to meet the crew that was assembled. I was definitely correct about the professionalism but the whole experience was full of fun, encouragement and down-to-earth behaviour. Everyone’s opinion was listened to and taken into account and I felt like I was part of the family from day one. This industry is great because you can make your experience into what you want. It’s challenging and frustrating at the best of times, but the people who choose to work in this industry are hard working and lovely and always want to help because they know how difficult it can be.
Runner, Writer, BTS Photographer
The thing that will always interest me first in a project is the script. If the story is good and well written I’m in and this is what happened with ‘Waiting for time’. The script was so well written and layered. Till the end I was kept in suspense and didn’t know what was going to happen. Then I had a conversation with the Bashford Twins and I liked their style, which made me want to be part of it even more. I had a really pleasant experience because during pre production we had quite a lot of meetings regarding health & safety and the governments regulations so this gave me peace of mind that when we go on set everything will run smoothly. Production provided with all the PPE and everyone was respectful of each other and keeping social distancing. I had great time working with Worthily Films. Everything was so efficient and on point from day one. The producers did a great job putting together such an incredible crew. I’m really excited to see what the next project will be.
